According to the theory of Chinese medicine beauty actually is more than skin deep. Good skin care hasn’t really changed much since the time of Hippocrates: get enough sleep, stay hydrated, eat a proper diet, don’t expose your skin to the sun, and stay calm are still good advice when you want to have fresh, youthful skin. But it is also a fact that there are ingredients that can help your skin maintain some of its youthfulness and there are herbs that help the body rest and remain calm. At Mei Zen Skin Care we wanted to create a small-batched holistic skin care line that effectively treats your skin and whose ingredients possess energetics based on the theory of Chinese medicine. The energetics may make people “feel” something as they use our products and can energetically address some of the internal causes of aging, like stress. Remember, our skin is an organ with a metabolism and ingredients that we put on our skin may affect the whole system. Another way to think about it is that you can’t treat the skin as a separate entiyy from the whole body. Your skin reflects your inner health. This is why it is important to use natural, safe ingredients. Not only is it healthier but natural ingredients feel luxurious and soothing. We like to call it “Om in a bottle”.
Our ingredients are natural, sustainably grown or wildcrafted raw materials, and our products are people tested; we never test on animals. Plus, sustainability is not just a buzzword for us; we are committed to keeping the environment safe. We use herbs, plant extracts, phytonutrients, antioxidants, essential oils, and more holistic, safe preservatives than things like parabens and phthalates. Our ingredient choices are fact based, not fear based, and allow us to create natural, healthy, and effective products.
Mei Zen Skin Care offers you a holistic, energy balancing way to treat age spots, acne, aging skin, etc. that is better than using the mainstream chemical solutions. Our products will never contain parabens, ammonia, aluminum chlorohydrate, phthalates, formaldehyde, mercury, or other harmful ingredients.
